A String of Memories

Tinker Toys, Yo-Yos, Jacks, and Lincoln Logs and are some of the toys that baby-boomers grew up with. These toys from the past represent a much simpler time that many people yearn for. A photo captures a moment in time, but I’ve drawn the Yo-Yo string in a way that links us to the past. This entire image is drawn including the background, tape, and string.

A String of Memories” is my latest drawing and was finished on April 14th  2008. I’m taking orders for a Limited Edition Giclee print of this image. If you are one of the first 50 people to order you will receive a discount of over 20% off the issue price. This is an actual size (11" x 14") signed and numbered limited edition of 750. This special price is $90.00 unframed or $140 framed. To receive this offer you must be one of the first 50 people to order. After the first fifty are sold, I will raise the price to $110.00 unframed and $160.00 framed.

To reproduce the extremely  subtle value changes in this drawing I am using a new method of printing called a Piezograph Giclee. The result is a high quality reproduction that is nearly indistinguishable from the original drawing. This printing method is a little more costly than traditional off set lithography but I feel the result is well worth it. You will swear that the tape, photo and string are three dimensional!
